We can also import it for you.

If you already buy Mexican leather, or you want to, the hard part is rarely the leather. It is the crossing. We bring it into the United States ourselves and deliver to your plant, so you deal with one supplier in your own time zone instead of a customs process.

How the import service works
  • You buy leather, not a shipment
  • One invoice and one point of contact
  • Delivery in days, not months
  • Works with our leather or with your existing tannery
Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask before the first order.

What is the minimum order for finished leather?

Our minimum order is 1,000 square feet, which is about 10,000 dm². That applies to a single article and colour. For a first trial we can usually work below that, so ask before you assume the answer is no.

What thicknesses do you supply?

From 1.0 to 3.4 mm. Aviation work usually sits between 0.9 and 1.2 mm, automotive between 1.1 and 1.5 mm, upholstery between 1.2 and 1.6 mm, and belt leather between 2.4 and 3.4 mm.

Do you ship to the United States and Canada?

Yes. We ship finished and stocked leather to the USA, Canada and Mexico, and delivery takes days rather than months. We handle the import into the United States ourselves, so you buy leather instead of managing a cross border shipment.

Can you import Mexican leather on our behalf?

Yes. That is a separate service from our own production. If you already buy from a Mexican tannery, or you want to, we bring the leather into the United States and deliver it to your plant. You deal with one supplier in your own time zone instead of a customs process.

How do you control quality between batches?

We inspect 100% of every shipment, sheet by sheet, before it leaves. Colour is run against a retained standard and the recipe is held for repeat orders, so a resupply matches the first order rather than approximating it.

Do you tan your own leather?

Yes. We run our own tannery in Mexico and we also import for clients in the United States. Owning the tannery means we control the article from the raw hide, and importing means we can still supply when a programme needs more volume than one plant should carry.

Can we get samples before ordering?

Yes. Tell us the market, the article and the thickness you are working to and we will send samples with the specification in writing so your engineering or development group can review both together.

We come back with a specification in writing and samples you can put in front of your development group.
